Ten rules for life by Mike Cernovich

The new year is generally regarded as a time for starting over, trying something new, getting better. This post by Mike Cernovich who blogs at Danger and Play encapsulates ten rules with which to better your life.

The ten rules are:-

The system is rigged.

Changing the system requires you to change yourself.

Needy people are greedy people.

Today’s favor is tomorrow’s obligation.

Live by the 80/20 rule or die by it.

Most people never evolve past high school. Their personalities are fixed and won’t change.

Never give second chances. (Leave that for your God to do.)

Skip the moral judgments when dealing with people. Either they “work” for you or they don’t.

There are clicks and there are snaps.

Even if these rules are wrong, they are right.

I urge you to go and read the whole thing.

Rule number one is especially important to me. I have a friend who rails against something that he will never be in a position to do anything about. What a complete waste of energy.

I also have to point out it took me years to understand rule eight. I wasted a great deal of time and energy here.

Bestselling author Mr Cernovich was written a detailed guide for improving your mindset called “The Gorilla Mindset” which I will be reviewing at a later date.

Update, Gorilla Mindset review here.
