Rev. Billy Graham has died at the age of 99.
Unlike many evangelists, he never was caught up in scandal. He made sure to avoid even the appearance of impropriety by always paying his bills and by making sure to never to be alone with a woman other than his wife, the same thing that Mike Pence, the US vice president does.
The #MikePenceRule makes a lot of sense in the #metoo world we find ourselves in. It is actually a great way of calling out attention whoring women while maintaining a bullet-proof public image. Graham and Pence are a lot smarter than given credit for.
Graham will be remembered for his appeal and popularity that was due to his clear sincerity. He truly believed what he said. Apparently, he wasn’t the best orator but he always managed to pack out stadiums.
Interestingly, christianity is growing in America. Not in the mainstream denominations but new churches.
